something that can be form fitting and easily rearranged.
Im talking about something that can mold to any surface and not just flat surfaces or a cylindrical surface. Im talking about covering shapes like a spherical surface or can cover the face of a statue.

it already exists. see links…

I want to make a solar panel. I want to by a foot, by a foot. Have an adapter. Is this possible. What are the supplies. and. How much will it cost?
I was talking about the photo one,
but the heat collector seem interesting.
Could you put more detail into makng the heat collector?

Check out Build It Solar. It is a free resource to build all kinds of projects. Be careful though, you can lose hours surfing around there.

Avoid the scams that will sell you kits to build your own solar panel, the info is available free.

Is Earth4Energy a scam?

I want to build a windmill with my kids, but do not know much about it.
When I do an internet search for plans Earth4Energy is all I can find.

It looks like some kind of a big pyramid scheme where people are making thousands of websites to try and sell the package.

Has anyone accually used this kit to make there own windmills or solar panels?

Please do not link to your earth4energy site I will report spam. I am looking for people who bought and used it, not people who are selling it.

Thanks

I wouldn’t call it a scam, but I wouldn’t call it up-and-up. Yes, you can build all this stuff yourself, but you find that it doesn’t quite wipe out your electric bill on a roof top windmill.

Theoretically you could build a 100 of these windmills, and you might get close to your power needs, but one critical design flaw is the height. To get to the constant wind flow, you will have to jack the windmill 40 and 60 feet off the ground-the higher the better. Roof-top windmills do not work good unless you get a thunderstorm.

If you want to get a project for you and your kids, check out Mother Earth News. They have all kinds of projects like these, and readers can make comments. I would recommend this avenue for small renewable projects like this.

Does Earth4energy really work?

Saw this program on website, dvd for building your own solar panels and wind mills has anyone seen or used this? They say solar panel can be built for 200.00 and windmill cheap also

yes it really works….im also using it………The Earth4Energy kit suggests one of those popular alternative energy devices that prove to drop home energy costs by 50-80%. The kit also shares information on where to purchase free batteries required for your project. These batteries store the alternative energy making it a portable energy resource. You can take them anywhere, for any use!

How to build a DIY LED lamp running on solar power?

at school im making a lamp which is done but now i need to make it run on solar power. It needs a solar panel, rechargable battery, and LED bulb but i dont no wat type or voltage etc..do i need resistors and if i do wat type? and also wat type of wiring do i need to use
help would b much appreciated

The easiest way to power a lightbulb with a solar panel is to keep everything at DC voltage. Get a 12V solar panel, a 12V battery, and a 12V lightbulb. I’m trying to put together an inexpensive solution below.

This LED bulb will plug into a regular light socket, just make sure you do NOT plug it into a wall outlet. AC will blow it up. It uses less than 2W at 12VDC. http://www.altestore.com/store/Lighting-Fans/LED-Lamps-Fixtures/DC-12V-or-24V-LED-Bulbs-and-Fixtures/LED-FLOOD-w-QTY-18-WHITE-LEDS-12-VDC/p4488/

This battery will power the lightbulb for about 20 hours. http://www.altestore.com/store/Deep-Cycle-Batteries/Batteries-Sealed-Agm/Universal-Ub1280-12V-8Ah20Hr-Sealed-Agm-Battery/p2003/

This solar panel will charge up the battery. Note that because the panel is a smaller wattage than the lightbulb, you will need to have it in the sun charging the battery longer than the time the lightbulb is running. For example, to create enough electricity to run the light for 2 hours, you may need to have the panel charge the battery for 4 hours. To charge it faster, you’d need a bigger, more expensive panel. http://www.altestore.com/store/Solar-Panels/1-to-50-Watt-Solar-Panels/Kyocera-12W-12V-Mini-Solar-Panel/p718/

Where can I find a solar panel kit wholesale manufacturer? Eliminate the middle man & buy from the source?

Parts needed to build a solar panel?

I am looking at building my own solar panels to at least help cut down the rising energy bill. I know its expensive. I already have the solar cells so no need to worry about listing that. But i am looking at wiring it directly into the house. Is there any parts that you could list for me, that would be great. thanks

Most likely, your local power utility will prohibit you from connecting homemade panels to their grid, but if you had a commercial panel, you would use a grid-tied inverter such as shown here http://www.enphaseenergy.com/ . If you had an array of 10 or more panels, it would usually be cheaper to get a single, large inverter.

The usual path taken with homemade panels seems to be using them to charge a battery, then running things of the battery. And it’s usually a fun thing to do, but not a way to save money. Just so you know.

Help, I wont to make a solar panel

a solar panel is made up of many Photovoltaic Solar Cells. It can be fixed or adjustable (follows Sun). This system can be off grid or gridded. Or did you mean a solar collector? A box with a glass top used to absorb the Sun’s rays and transfer the heat to a room? Here’s a couple of sites that might help
